Tenfire's Story

Tenfire began with a simple love for fragrance and flame. Growing up in the States, candles were always a source of joy for Dawn - a soft glow to warm the heart, a scent that could transport Dawn to another place, and a comforting ritual that made even an ordinary moment feel special.

Living in the beautiful landscape of Ireland, Dawn found a new layer of inspiration. The rugged coastlines, ancient forests, and cosy evenings by a roaring fire were woven into everything Dawn would create. Dawn's hope was to send parcels of this Irish magic back to you - wherever you are - so you can bring a touch of this enchanting place into your home.

Dawn started Tenfire because she felt mass-produced candles often fell short - burning unevenly or lacking that truly memorable fragrance. So, she set out to learn the craft herself. After a year of experimenting with waxes, wicks, fragrances, and vessels, Dawn found the perfect combinations. At first, Dawn gave my candles to family and friends and before long, they were coming back with the empty tins with requests like, “Can I have another? Loved that scent so much!"

Encouraged by their enthusiasm, Dawn decided to share her creations with a wider audience. Tenfire is built on the principles of sustainability and craftsmanship. We use soy wax; a vegan, renewable, and biodegradable resource that burns cleaner and lasts longer than paraffin wax. Wherever possible, we source materials locally and focus on keeping our environmental impact low.

Every Tenfire candle is handmade in small batches in Ireland, ensuring that each one meets the highest standards of quality. The fragrances are inspired by the beauty all around Ireland - rugged coastlines, mighty oaks, starry nights, riverside picnics, and the warmth of a crackling fire.
